After years in Elementary Education I am officially retired, but that hasn't slowed me down. With all that free time I enjoy the gift of gardening & weeding as therapy, along with scribbling essays and poetry in the margins of my days.
I do n o t miss the rush for the early morning bell…. but I kinda miss recess.
My days are a mix of reading, writing and editing, with occasional forays to visit my grandkids (all 6 of them!). I enjoy participating in the life of our Seattle area church and coffee dates with friends. When I’m not spending time in the garden, you’ll find me in my other Happy Place—at my desk surrounded by books, paper and pen.
What I learned from 25 years of teaching: I think concrete, sequential, analytical people are highly overrated, even though I’m married to one. Give me Abstract Random every time.
